Answer #1 · Maple Tree's Answer · Hi Chris-Planting this Miscanthus should be fine now in your location (Hardiness zone 6b). This plant is hardy in hardiness zones 5a-9b. Planting in the fall has its advantages for many shrubs and trees. Although the plants growth will slow down or go dormant during the winter planting now will give it a head start on developing a more mature root system before spring and the summers hot temperatures.
