I was sold this product to stop grassburs germinating on .75 acres of bermuda & st augustine. Why does the label instruct not to be used on lawns as it is a herbicide?

Answer #1 · Gardenality.com's Answer · Hi Dan - The label instructs not to use on lawns because it contains a specific type of herbicide that isn't generally used on lawns. Though some products containing this chemical are listed for use on lawns, perhaps the full stringth product is not?

In any event, Hi-Yield makes two different products with similar names that include "Weed & Grass Stopper" in the name. One is called 'Herbicide Granules Weed & Grass Stopper', which contains Treflan herbicide and is for use in non-lawn areas, such as around ornamental shrubs and trees in landscape beds. The other is called 'Turf & Ornamental Weed & Grass Stopper', which contains Dimension herbicide and can be used in both lawn and landscape beds.
