Answer #3 · Chason Arthur's Answer · I paint them with regular acrylic paint and then seal them inside and out with two to three coats of clear acrylic Krylon sealer. Never had any problems yet....even with the ones I have outside. If you're growing veggies in clay pots, I wouldn't paint or seal them with any potentially toxic substances.)

Answer #2 · Chason Arthur's Answer · I paint clay pots all the time for my own personal use indoors and outdoors. Use a paint designed for painting clay pots, such as Patio Paint brand. It's weather proof so you don't need an extra sealer. Use can use a clear coat if you want a shiny finish. You can get Patio Paint at Michaels. Some nursery and garden centers might carry it.)

Answer #1 · Chason Arthur's Answer · Seal the inside of the pot before you paint, with any terracotta sealer, and it won't happen as quickly. DO NOT seal the outside of the pot. Try leaving parts of the outside of the pot unpainted to allow the pot to breath and moisture escape.)
