Answer #1 · Chason Arthur's Answer · The best time to water roses is in the early to mid-morning hours. If you water late in the evening or at night, water splashed on foliage, which may not dry off, can cause damaging fungus to grow. Always water roses at the base and underneath the plant to avoid getting water on the foliage. During the summer it may be necessary to water younger, less-established, roses that are wilting during the afternoon. Only water after the noon hour if foliage is wilting and bud stems are drooping.)
