Adding Landscape Uses to A Plant File

When planning a garden, both professional landscape designers and novices will find the Uses attributes in the Plant Files very helpful when conducting Plant Searches on Gardenality.

For example, if you want to find plants that grow well under shade trees, you can use the Gardenality Plant Search to find all of the plants in the Gardenality Plant File Database that will do so.

To begin selecting uses for a plant, click on the Uses tab in the Plant File Editor.

Then follow these instructions for completing the fields:

  • Landscape Uses - In this field, select any landscape uses that apply.
  • Theme Gardens - Then select Theme Garden types the plant might work well in.

NOTE: During the process of making selections, you can "Undo" any selection you've made by clicking on the "Undo" link next to any particular selection in the Your Changes section just below the fields
